In Ottawa, we celebrate the world's largest tulip festival, the Canadian Tulip Festival.
If you plan to be in the Ottawa area between May 1-18, 2009, make sure to take the time to visit the Festival. There will be tulips on every corner,
literally MILLIONS of tulips bloom alongside the rivers and canals around Ottawa, a legacy of
gifts of more that 50 years ago by the Dutch Royal Family in appreciation of safe haven given by
Canadians during the Second World War. For me, this period of the year is becoming a ritual. Tulip time equals photography time. It's a paradise for any photographer. |
