For me, viewing infrared photography is like stepping into another world. I really like the feeling I get from
these photos. Infrared photography is created with black and white infrared film. This type of film records the
effects of infrared light, a spectrum beyond our range of vision. The effects result in an unearthly, dreamlike
or silken quality with very definite contrasts not seen in the usual black and white photo. Because the photographer
can’t see infrared light, it is a gamble and the results are always a surprise. I intend to further explore infrared photography during the coming year, so expect to see more pictures in this section! Shot with Kodak High Speed Infrared film with a No. 25 red filter. |
